Health and fitness completely changed my life. I found relief from my anxiety, a way to fill my addictive personality in a positive way, my best friends, and a confidence in who I am. Since I worked in a gym in downtown Detroit, I had been looking for a way to help other people become happier and healthier people the way I did. 5 years later I am finally making it happen. I created Haven to be just that, a Haven. I want this to be the refuge, the place of opportunities for kids that don’t have those opportunities to come and feel strong, be healthy, and feel like they belong. I want to get kids that may not be headed the right direction back on the right path. I believe that can be done by learning how to live a healthy active lifestyle while also learning key financial skills and I can’t wait to teach them that.
